SIL supports people with disability that require assistance with daily life tasks. Each resident is funded individually and the funding reflects their individual and shared support in the home. Am I eligible for SIL funding? The NDIA has set criteria to access funding for SIL based on 'reasonable & necessary supports'. To be eligible for SIL funding a participant must: Provide evidence that they are unable to live without 24/7 supports. This is identified through a Functional Assessment Report (FAR) undertaken by an Allied Health professional.
