Been here a couple years, to all those looking to see if they might be fit for this school, here's my 2 cents, take it as you will, I'll be addressing the main things I think people want to know when applying to college. Cost: UTD is the most expensive public university in Texas. In state out-of pocket its near $30k/year, give or take a few grand depending on your housing situation, if you have a car, dine out often, etc. Out of state pricing is pretty steep as well, about $45-50k/year out of pocket. Freshman living on campus are forced to get meals plans, so be prepared to pay for that (included in the total $30/50k cost of attendance) If you get a scholarship obviously its a good bit cheaper, AES was one of the biggest factors that led me and quite a few other people I know here, although iirc they have stopped giving out full tuition (i may be wrong) so that ship has sailed if you were gunning on going to college for free simply on academic merit. I cannot speak for financial aid or grants n such since I never got any but from what I understand it is pretty par for the course, I have a friend who comes from a low-income family and he was able to go here for free thanks to financial aid, but again ymmv and idk too many details.
