The bungalows are great and we paid $45 a night including the terrific cooked-to-order breakfast. There were a few empty bungalows when we arrived, but they were all full by the time we left. That's high season, so you should book ahead if you know where you want to stay. We talked to people who arrived without reservations, though, and they found a room in one of the cheaper guesthouses that they thought was fine (cold water only, though, and Mai House has hot water). The room (plantation), the food (Best BBQ fish ever), the beach (I miss it already) and the staff (so friendly all the time).
