I have been in a relationship with a NT guy who loves me for me and never makes me apologize for being an aspie. I once apologize for not wanting to go to a gathering due to my anxiety, and he got upset and told me to never apologize for that. He told me that having this disorder is not my fault and it is everyone else's job to accommodate me. He gives me a week notice before every social event, and he makes sure he knows every single person that's coming so he can let me know and I can gauge what to expect. When I have a busy day, he knows to get my weighted blanket ready and puts on some kind of Disney movie, as he knows it brings me comfort. He will just sit in silence and hold my hand and let me relax. I have realized that I actually really like helping people and being around others. I get immense anxiety from it, but I don't want my disorder to take over my life like that. I got a job working at a clubhouse for an apartment complex, and in 3 years, I have had 3 promotions and am now a leasing agent.
At this point, all you can do is put yourself in a position where you're not dependent on that person's approval, so that you don't affect their life and they don't affect yours, and the both of you can carry on with what will help both of you thrive. There's no absolute right or wrong. Worldviews clash, and that's okay. Take advantage of as many opportunities as you can, whether it's help, advice, referral for a job position, etc. It's not your responsibility to assess whether or not you're qualified for the help you receive. The people who are offering you the help have already done that. You're not in control of how qualified you are, but you are in control of learning enough through experience to become qualified over time. Even if you have no idea what you're doing at first, there will be enough help/resources for you to learn. It's in the best interests of everyone to help you, because if they help you, you'll do a better job. Cut yourself and others some slack. Learn how to see the good in whatever situation you're in, even if it didn't work out the way it was "supposed to".

While I know NV kind of out did it by leaps and bounds, I didn't remember that FO3 does make a genuine effort to allow your skills and SPECIAL to contribute towards your dialogue and character. Perks, skills, and SPECIAL all can trigger unique dialogue throughout the game and DLC's. Skills like repair and science allow you to bypass challenges, open different avenues through dungeons, and more. Again, NV outdoes this from what I remember (and will find out this year). But Fallout 3 did put in an effort here, and besides my character either being stupidly good or stupidly bad, this part worked in my opinion. I wanted to play a snotty brat who was really intelligent/ultimately good like his dad, but also hated being treated like an idiot to a dangerous fault, and the game accommodated that for the most part. About the Intro/Tutorial One fault a lot of people find with FO3 is the "starting from birth in vault" intro and how anti-RPG it was. I see the point they make, especially with regards to FONV which allows you to truly be pretty much anyone, but I disagree (though I do so respectfully and see their point).

As for a connection to the Salton Buttes, I don't know much about the volcanism there to answer that question. level 2 Thanks, this seems like it might be the explanation. The current swarm is a bit further south than the 2016 one but not right over the Buttes. They are pretty shallow earthquakes, I'll read this further. level 1 Just curious about all these earthquakes here. They are all quite shallow (< 5 km). It's not too far from the Salton Buttes. Wondering if there could be a connection? level 2 Hard to say, the buttes are a fairly young system and its still an active geothermal area around them. In this case its San Andreas doing its thing. level 2 It's the San Andreas fault.
