GLAMPING AT RIVER COTTAGE... A 'HUGH' DISAPPOINTMENT! We have just returned from a week long family glamping holiday at River Cottage HQ. We wanted to kids to enjoy the great outdoors and still be in a relatively quiet area due to the COVID situation, whilst the website leads you to believe you will have a glamping experience with the best bit being the food, this is NOT the case. If you are booking this to experience the food, then glamp somewhere else as it is not what is described on the website. (The overall site is very good and this part of England is absolutely beautiful, but this accommodation option is expensive if you are not getting a River Cottage 'food' experience) As glampers, we were given the same breakfast for 7 days, which was museli, juice and yogurt, despite the mention of the famous sour dough and preserves, this was never served. In fact no bread was served throughout the stay as we were told that wasn't included in the package. When a family asked for bread for their children at breakfast they were told 'no bread would be provided! '
