At the Friarage Hospital there are 17 rooms for junior doctors, which are all en-suite and complete with crockery and bed linen. These rooms are cleaned once a week and the communal areas are cleaned Monday to Friday. There are three kitchens, one with a dining area. There is central heating and double-glazing to some rooms. A TV lounge with satellite TV and computer and laundry room are also available. Access to residences is by ID card and parking is free. Further information can be obtained from the accommodation manager in the Estates and Facilities department at the hospital.

Easy to find from the Kona airport (26 miles south), right up the hill from: the famous Captain Cook Monument, spinner dolphins and wonderful snorkeling; the historical place of refuge at Kealakelua Bay with its beautiful coconut palms; the Painted Church; and a day trip to South Point, Green Sands Beach, Kula Lai Caverns and Green Sea Turtles.
