I'm traveling to Croatia from the US for the month of August. I was planning on staying with a friend but her situation changed and she can no longer host me. I'm looking for a bar/hostel/anything that is willing to let me work in exchange for accommodations or discounted accommodations around old town Dubrovnik. Or, if that's not possible, I'm looking for some sort of job to help cover hostel expenses. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!! PM me if you'd like more details about myself, and thanks!
Literally my first post, so fingers crossed. I will be traveling across Croatia by car, starting in Trieste (It) and having as main stops Pag, Split and Dubrovnik. It will be a 20 days or so trip and we want to enjoy the flexibility of having a car. I appreciate all kind of tips, I'll be coming with my gf (both 28 y/o) and have been already a couple of times in beautiful Croatia. My biggest question is about accommodation, is it still possible to find places at faire prices (more on the budget side) in the old way of just asking around once in town? Or is it absolutely recommended to book in advance through booking and Airbnb? In short I want to know how a local would do it. Thank you all.
